Let's be honest: It would be cooler if Portillo's was on the brink of invading Cleveland, just timingwise. But instead the Oak Brook-based purveyor of Chicago-style dogs and Italian Beef sandwiches is preparing to enter the Minnesota market — apparently the Twin Cities suburb of Woodbury.

A development plan for the corner of Hudson Road and Radio Drive is tentatively slated to be considered by Woodbury's plan commission on Nov. 7, followed by the City Council two days later.
