"Casa Della Mozzarella" is making big headlines for one of its handcrafted creations. The Bronx staple landed a spot on the New York Times list "57 Best Sandwich's That Define NYC." Its signature sandwich, "The Casa," is generating a lot of buzz and longer lines. The family business has been serving the Bronx for 31 years. The Carciotto family tells News 12 they pride themselves on their homemade mozzarella.
"To me this is not just mozzarella, this is Italian culture all in one," says Carlo Carciotto. The family says this recognition is an honor, and they will continue to stay true to tradition. "We do it a little bit more of an Italian style here... It's thin, like the way in Italy. If you like it, come here. If not, we're not going to break tradition."
