International hospitality company Bulldozer Group has leased a 5,000-square-foot space at 129 W. 52nd St., where the company intends to create a high-end Italian restaurant. Tom Caliendo and Daniel DePasquale of Winick Realty Group represented the tenant, while the retail owners, Christopher Okada, David Ho and Francis Leung of Okada & Co., represented themselves. The asking rent was $175 per square foot.
The space is at the base of the former Flatotel at 135 W. 52nd St. just west of Eighth Avenue, and is now a 109-unit condominium and offices. Led by its Russian executives, founder and Chief Executive Evgeny Kuzin and President Alexander Orlov, the Bulldozer Group has created and brought numerous hospitality concepts to Europe and Asia, including many in Dubai, and the firm recently launched in Miami.
