It’s hard to beat the atmosphere of summertime in Italy: a tinge of salt in the air, sand between your toes and the freshest ingredients from the land and from the sea. Sadly, summer on the Adriatic Coast can’t last all year round which is why Catria Cucina and Bar, the subterranean Italian-inspired restaurant in Hudson Yards December opening is right on time.
Expect fresh, coastal ingredients paired with signature cocktails and so many bright and sunny flavors that you may forget that you’re not dining al fresco. What sorts of goodies can diners expect? One of the most intriguing dishes, ‘Pomodoro Strattu,’ is inspired by a 4,000 year-old recipe and combines roasted tomatoes with onions, fennel and capers.
