Ten years ago, Andres Rodas and Andres Whang set out to open an Italian restaurant in Park Slope with a twist. Having both grown up eating homemade bolognese in Argentina, Rodas and Whang imagined a piccola cucina (little kitchen in Italian) where they could serve up so-called "new Italian" fare — traditional dishes made with organic and locally-sourced ingredients.
That vision came to life in 2012 at Piccoli Trattoria, a cozy neighborhood restaurant on the corner of Sixth Avenue and 14 Street that's now celebrating its 10th anniversary with an aptly eclectic prix fixe menu.
