A popular East Rochester restaurant is set to reopen next week, several weeks after a fire damaged the eatery's kitchen. The June 17 fire in the kitchen of Lemoncello Italian Restaurant & Bar, 137 W. Commercial St., East Rochester, forced the temporarily closure of the spot.
The eatery is set to reopen on Monday, July 6, said Massimo Albano, who owns and operates the restaurant with his brother Fausto. Albano said that a "small, yet disruptive" fire sparked during the peak of the evening rush when a piece of insulation paper dangling from the ceiling caught fire as a worker poured cooking wine in a pan.
