Whenever Floridian Tony Demo is back in town visiting family, there’s one restaurant he’s sure to stop into: Guido’s Pasta Villa on East Ridge Road in Irondequoit. “I grew up in this neighborhood and came here for years and years,” said Demo, waiting at the bar for lunch on Monday afternoon. “I know what good Italian food is all about and, hands down, this place is the best.”
Demo particularly enjoys the calamari, tripe and house red sauce, but it’s not just the food that draws him back. “People come in here because of the food and the good service,” Demo said. “It hasn’t changed at all over the years.”
