Seafood, store-made pasta, international cheeses, prime meat, sausages, fresh mozzarella and a full line of Italian specialty items will be the product line-up available at D'Vento in West Brighton. Chris Vento, the store's proprietor, says the store's shelves will be stocked in the next few days. The entrepreneur hopes to open by week's end.
The word "D'Vento," says Vento, not only nods to his own name but actually means "summer wind" in Italian and refers to a region in Italy. Vento, who's worked in Italian specialty stores on Staten Island and Brooklyn, recalls where he learned to make sausages and bake.
