Joe Fauci established La Fontana Restaurant in Oakwood 32 years ago with his father and brother, both named Anthony. Since that time, the Fauci family never changed the footprint of their free-standing structure. But due to "business" with the buildings and fire department, Fauci recently decided to renovate.
"Instead of fighting it I figured we would just renovate it," Fauci said with a smile. "It's going to be beautiful. It's my building. It could use a little facelift." The restaurant remains open for business during the spruce up.
"I'm just doing the exterior, doing the parking lot," Fauci explained.
