Nucci's South patrons know Paul Montella as the ever-present proprietor of the busy Italian restaurant. But his reach in the food business extends past Richmond Valley.
The North Shore resident — who owns Nucci's North with Ronnie Martinucci and brother Peter Montella — plans to open a Sonic franchise very soon in Charleston. (The newly constructed space awaits approvals with the Buildings Department.)
This week, Montella also opened Campagnia in Bay Ridge, at 99th Street and 4th Avenue where the Tiffany Diner once thrived. He partners with Joe LaRocca, of Nove Restaurant, Eltingville, in the project which sees upscale Italian food and a coal-fired oven.
