When the spread of coronavirus caused restaurants to close their doors, it was the first time the families that run them had to navigate their way through such crisis. However, for one Italian family in Schenectady, it would be another chapter in their long history.
Maria Papa beams with pride when telling you that Perreca's Bakery in Schenectady has been operating for 106 years. She notes they baked through the Great Depression, the recession, and now coronavirus.
