On its 10-year anniversary, Scarpetta — the higher-end Italian restaurant celebrity chef Scott Conant used to be involved in — has relocated to the James New York Nomad hotel. That famed spaghetti with tomato and basil will be once again available to the public at 88 Madison Ave., between 28th and 29th streets, come Wednesday, February 7.
The new location has a private dining room and a full bar and café, which will start with dinner and eventually add breakfast and lunch. There is also a separate downstairs lounge run by founder John Meadow’s company LDV Hospitality called The Seville. Meadow brought along chef Jorge Espinoza, who was in the 14th Street kitchen from the beginning and became executive chef when Conant and Meadow parted ways in 2013.
