On the brink of their first business anniversary on Oct. 10, Massimo Felici and his wife Deya are gearing up for a celebratory bash for that evening. And though they're knee deep in refurbishing and renovating "The Richmond" -- the eatery that once served as former home to Gatsby's on the Bay -- Massimo says the Vinum party will be "really big." FYI: "The Richmond" translates into a handsome American-style bistro with French flair.
The feel-good Italian restaurant has small plates, large plates, sandwiches, a meatball menu, variety of appetizers and entrees and a bar with intriguing spirits and a carefully selected wine list. The restarant is relatively small with seating for 22 in the dining room and eight at bar. the homey, vintage feel it conveys makes a big statement. FYI: Massimo saw fit to add tables in the back patio area and enclose the space, which is situated in a building built during the 1930’s.
