After a brief closure, Nucci’s South has fired up its kitchen once again. It’s “business as usual” for the Richmond Valley pizzeria and Italian restaurant as of noon on Monday, Aug. 7, says its management. Nucci’s closed temporarily in late July as owner Paul Montella took a brief respite. Going forward, he said lunch specials and the regular menu have returned in their entirety.
Montella’s linen-cloth destination has been around for 20 years on the South shore. It started at 616 Forest Ave. in 1999, an address now home to DeLuca’s Trattoria. Nucci’s is located at 4842 Arthur Kill Rd., Richmond Valley, 718-967-3600.
