Doris Italian Market & Bakery has just started construction on a new location in North Palm Beach. The new store marks its sixth and largest since the specialty supermarket chain opened in Hollywood in 1947.
Located at 11239 U.S. Highway 1, the 22,000-square-foot store is slated to open during late September of this year in the Shoppes at City Centre retail complex. It will replace a Winn-Dixie, which closed during the recession. Doris will take up half of the space, with a West Marine store occupying the other half, according to the Sun Sentinel.
