In only three years, Brooklyn’s Pizzeria has become so popular that it outgrew its little space in the Winn-Dixie plaza in South Leesburg. The restaurant recently moved a couple doors down and now has a larger dining area where customers can enjoy all the Italian specialties. Owners James and Shawna Pancari purchased the restaurant from the previous owners in 2019 after retiring from their former jobs.
James served in the Coast Guard for 31 years between active duty and reserve. He also worked at the Federal Correctional Complex, Coleman. Shawna worked as a chief financial officer and a Realtor, which she still does on the side. Having no background in the restaurant industry, other than they loved food, they set out on this adventure together.
