There's a new moon rising in Birmingham's Lakeview District.
Mia Luna, an Italian-themed restaurant whose menu features house-made pastrami and linguini with Bolognese sauce, opens for lunch and dinner starting today in the former Rags' Italian Bistro location next to Lou's Pub & Package Store on 29th Street South.
"Mia Luna" is Italian for "my moon," and "Mia" is also owner Michael Carpri's 5-year-old daughter's name.
