The much-anticipated Morrone’s N.Y. Deli, Restaurant, Pizzeria and Bakery has a menu, a website, social media pages and — most importantly — an opening date. Did we say much-anticipated? “All day long, people have been asking for weeks when we’re opening,” said owner Ermanno Morrone. Here’s the latest: Morrone’s, 5913 53rd Ave. E., Bradenton, opens June 3 and has a grand opening planned for June 10.
For the record, the menu is titled Morrone’s of Arthur Ave in honor of the Pastry Shop and Cafe in the Arthur Avenue section of the Bronx that Ermanno Morrone opened in 2000. “We will have an à la carte menu and specials every day,” Morrone, 47, said. Morrone’s will also have a bakery, but no decision has been made yet on whether that might include bagels.
