Down the street from Wake Forest's campus on Reynolda Road, Karen Dioli serves delicious Italian cuisine paired with a warm smile, making Dioli's Italian Market a favorite restaurant for students. In 1999, Dioli and her husband, Roger, wanted to have more children and settle down.
Based on a family friend's glowing review of Winston-Salem, they left San Francisco and headed for North Carolina. Soon after, they opened Dioli's. Now a mother of four, Dioli expertly whips up a plethora of family recipies each day, including Italian pastries and savory meatballs.
