Maybe because he got his culinary degree from a design school — Rhode Island School of Design had a culinary program back in the day — chef Steven Marsella wants his food to look as pretty as it tastes.

Marsella, co-culinary director for Creole Cuisine Restaurant Concepts, also is executive chef at the company’s latest addition, a Tavola, which opened in late December in the space formerly occupied by Bravo!
