The Chipotle of Italian food is coming to our neighborhood. Piada Italian Street Food was started after the founding chefs took a trip to the land of Vespas. In Rimini, they observed family-owned food carts and corner markets, smelled the aromas of basil, meats and cheeses, and decided the experience had to be brought to the United States.
The first location opened in 2010, and since then, Piadas have popped up across the U.S. Now, the chain is working on opening its first restaurant in Dallas, and the powers that be have selected a shopping center in East Dallas to house it.
