The Fall Tour of Taste of Italy 2024 has concluded with remarkable public success, confirming its status as an essential event for Italian food & beverage companies looking to enter the U.S. market. The events, conceived and managed by the Italy-America Chamber of Commerce of Texas in Houston, target food industry professionals, gastronomy enthusiasts, and specialized press.
The Dallas (October 8) and El Paso (October 10) events were highly successful, attracting significant participation from importers, distributors, restaurateurs, sommeliers, and food industry journalists. Dallas drew over 140 industry professionals, while El Paso welcomed more than 70 participants. Alongside the walk-around tasting, four sold-out seminars were held, engaging approximately 100 participants across both cities.
More than 60 producers showcased over 450 authentic Italian products. Italian companies had the opportunity to meet not only with importers and distributors interested in bringing their products to the USA but also with restaurateurs and sommeliers eager to expand their offerings. Specialized press was also present, providing valuable support in promoting Italian products in the United States.
The showcased products came from 15 different Italian regions, offering a wide range of Made in Italy excellence. The seminars featured the Consorzio Vini d'Abruzzo, the Consorzio del Vermouth di Torino, and the Consorzio del Pecorino Toscano DOP. Additionally, a significant delegation of Umbrian companies, accompanied by the Umbria Chamber of Commerce, participated in the event, further enriching the product showcase.
Taste of Italy, now in its second decade, remains the only trade fair in the United States exclusively dedicated to Italian agri-food products. Started over ten years ago, Taste of Italy Houston – held annually in early March – continues to be the event that attracts the highest number of companies and hundreds of food and beverage industry professionals from Texas and many other American states.
The first edition of Taste of Italy Dallas was held in 2022, followed by Taste of Italy El Paso in 2023. Both city events have been immediately successful, with each new edition attracting an increasing number of American operators who share an interest and passion for Italian food & wine.
The next Taste of Italy events are scheduled for Houston and Vancouver (Canada) on March 2-3 and March 5-6, 2025, respectively. The 2025 dates for Dallas, El Paso, and the inaugural Calgary (Canada) edition will be announced soon.
