Italian pasta continues its march on international markets (+ 3.6% in volume and €2 billion in value in 2014), but the obstacles are multiplying and the producers have requested and obtained the establishment of a Control Room for their product, sanctioned by a ministerial decree signed by the Ministries of Agriculture and Economic Development.
The broader goal is to make pasta production an increasingly integrated supply chain, able to compete in foreign markets, to fend off the sometimes-unfair competition, and to limit the damage caused by protectionist duties.
