The American actor Daniel McVicar visited yesterday the Landing Museum in Anzio and then to the American Cemetery in Nettuno. McVicar will play the role of an American officer in the film "Angelita." Filming will kick off in January next year on the coast of Anzio and Nettuno.
In the places and on the beaches that were the scene, 77 years ago, of the tragic wartime events of World War II: the Allied landings and the stories lived by the protagonists of that time. The story is that of Angelita, the little girl rescued by an American soldier and then handed over to the care of a Red Cross nurse. A symbol of all child victims of wars, she relives in the memories of a past not to be forgotten. A story of war but also of love.
Director Massimo Paolucci and producer Daniele Gramiccia accompanied the American actor to the Landing Museum where a period film was shown and highlights of the Allied landing were illustrated. The next destination was the American Cemetery in Neptune, which holds the remains of 7,861 deceased soldiers. Received by Director Melanie Resto, the attendees strolled along the avenues of the impressive monumental cemetery.
