AUR hosted it's first (of many, we hope) annual Parents' Weekend and Thanksgiving Dinner between the 26th and 28th of November and it was a truly rewarding and enjoyable undertaking. It's not just us saying that either; ""It is great to see" said Michael Hook (parent to Lindsey) "how AUR has organized itself in providing not only good education to its students, but also how they have maintained good relationships with their students outside the classroom. People are so friendly and they made me feel "home" as if I already knew them. It is a great experience and I'm glad my daughter is getting her education in an institution where she feels part of the AUR family."
The weekend kicked off with a 'welcome & get-together brunch' to greet parents and introduce them to the AUR community of faculty, students & staff. Planned to be held in the AUR main gardens the Rome weather had its own ideas and thus the event was swiftly (and efficiently) moved to the comfort and warmth of the AUR Auditorium. The brunch was followed by individual meetings between parents and faculty and a tour of the local historical sights by Professor Paul Gwynne.
