The Italian leather goods industry is resisting economic difficulties, although its growth is restrained and production activity has slowed sharply, according to a recent survey released by Assopellettieri, the Italian association gathering together Italian leather goods manufacturers and organising the specialised trade show Mipel, whose next edition will take place in Milan-Rho Fiiera trade show pole on 18-20 February 2024.
For this sector, the performance of the first nine months of 2023 was positive thanks to the bright start of the year and export performance, but growth is reduced to a moderate +2.2%, with fears of reaching zero growth at the end of the year-end.
