According to Federalimentare's (the industry's association) research center, food export has grown by 7% reaching €21.2 billion in the first nine months of 2015, showing a significant stabilization after the +7.3% of the first eight months and the +6.8% of the first seven months. Wine is still leading the way of Italian export with almost the 20% and a pre-final balance of €5.4 billion, +6%, according to Wine Monitor Nomisma's evaluation.
"This year has been very positive," says Sandro Boscaini, president of Federvini "in spite of Russia's difficulties and China's uncertainty. The exports in our sector has been driven by sparkling wines, especially Prosecco. But now it's time for Prosecco to value its variations."
