The Municipality of Torricella Peligna (Province of Chieti), within the framework of the cultural festivals John Fante Festival “Il dio di mio padre” [“My Father’s God”] and Piccolo Festival delle Spartenze Migrazioni e Cultura [Small Festival of Departures, Migrations, and Culture], has launched a literary competition for unpublished stories, aimed at Italian authors or authors of Italian origin residing abroad.

The competition, further detailed on the dedicated page on the John Fante Festival website, aims to broaden the discussion on the themes of Italian emigration and the bond between Italians in Italy and compatriots abroad. The theme of the competition, in its inaugural edition, is “Le mie radici plurime” [my multiple roots].
