Lamborghini's next supercar is going to be a hybrid. The Italian company has retired its 5.2-liter V10 petrol engine in favor of a plug-in hybrid vehicle that will succeed its Huracán model. The new model, named Temerario, was unveiled in California. It will feature a smaller capacity 4.0-liter twin-turbocharged V8 petrol engine accompanied by three electric motors for a total output of 907 bhp.
The new Lamborghini, due in 2025, will be true to the company's philosophy will remain a speed demon. Lamborghini said the Temerario "sets a new benchmark for the super sports car segment with a total power output of 920 CV, reaching a top speed of more than 210 miles per hour (over 340 kmph) and accelerating from 0-62 mph (0-100 kmph) in 2.7 seconds".
