The University of Pisa is pleased and proud to announce that Professor Walter Grassi (photo), formerly Full Professor of Technical Physics at the Department of Energy, Systems, Territory, and Constructions Engineering (DESTEC), has received the Max Jakob Memorial Award in Los Angeles.
This award is one of the highest international recognitions for thermal sciences, awarded jointly by the American Society of Mechanical Engineers (ASME) and the American Institute of Chemical Engineers (AIChE). The award's hall of fame includes scholars who, since 1960, have contributed to major advancements in the field of heat transfer, and now, for the first time, it includes an Italian.
