New York City Mayor Bill de Blasio and his family are expected to arrive in Venice Friday for the final chapter of their eight-day summer vacation in Italy.
Mr. de Blasio has requested privacy for the Venice portion of the trip, saying he hopes to spend quality time with his family before returning to New York City Sunday. The mayor has no scheduled public events in Venice, but many expect the local media there to be on the prowl.
