In July, we talked about an unusual yet very real, 100% Italian story titled Josh and Franco - a story of revelation and self-discovery of a father and a son who are both homosexuals. Their experience was selected by Are We Europe and The Europeans for the contest 'This is What a Generation Sounds Like,' a series of 8 podcasts, which premeried with indeed Josh and Franco as the opening story. The work has been experiencing incredible resonance and support on an international scale - being featured on the Financial Times and Italy's major newspapers and TV programs, among others.
Now, in partnership with Colage - the only organization in the US dedicated to supporting people with one or more LGBTQI+ caregivers - as well as We the Italians, the Rete Lenford - Italy's network of LGBTQI+ lawyers - and Gay.it, Josh and Franco will become the trigger for a comparative international panel on Italian and American LGBTQI+ families.
Lawyers and art experts from both countries will address sensitive questions that deal with representation and law in a virtual meeting that will take place on March 6th at 1 PM ET.
