Less than three years since the approval of the law on start-ups, the number of new Italian businesses has exceeded 5,000 according to a Unioncamere figure. Which means that seven new innovative companies are born every day.
One in five has taken up residence inLombardy but Trentino-Alto Adige is the region with the highest occurrence of start-ups relative to capital companies, with 91 start-ups per 10,000 companies. Milan on the other hand is the most populated province, with 680 start-ups (14.5% of the total).
