Instead of an abbey, or a princely mansion, we're in a former slaughterhouse. Nevertheless, the model is always the same --Renaissance and Baroque Wunderkammer where treasures and bizarre objects are displayed, testifying to ingenuity and extravagance (and sometimes horror), and apt to arouse curiosity and wonder; two feelings without which life would lose much of its flavor.
Entertainer Renzo Arbore, a prominent figure in the history of Italian radio and television, has set up an ironic and colorful Wunderkammer at the Macro Testaccio's Pelanda space in Rome - recently transformed into an exhibition space, open until April 3.
