The Italian confectionery company, Sperlari, has entered the Register of Historic Trademarks of National Interest established by Italy’s Ministry of Economic Development. The register also includes the Galatine brand – famous milk candy invented in Italy in 1956 and produced with 100% Italian milk in the Sperlari plant in Cremona – and Saila’s – a company founded in 1937 which nowadays produces 100% Italian licorice and mint in Abruzzo.
The recognition takes place on the occasion of the 185th birthday of the company, founded back in 1836 in a historic store in Cremona by entrepreneur Enea Sperlari. The company is now a leader in the Italian confectionery market and a symbol of Made in Italy throughout the world.
