Last year was a complicated year for Bresaola della Valtellina PGI. Total production from the main 16 certified companies reached 12,607 tons (-8.78% on 2019). A little more than 35,000 tons of raw material (90% of which was cut from the tip of the hip) of selected European and global origin were sent to the production of Bresaola della Valtellina PGI.
On the consumption front, which has been gradually expanding for the last 20 years, the sector reached a total value of 454 million euros (-7.59% on 2019).
