"Ciao, bello," yells a young, Italian man in my direction. "Hello, beautiful," he's saying, as his friends crane their necks and loosen their jaws in awe. They're not aiming their ardor at me but at the car I'm riding in — a vintage 1962 Alfa Romeo.
In gleaming, tomato red, it's a finely-curved marvel of style, history, technology and power. As my companion and I wheel our portable artwork into the heart of Reggio Emilia, in northern Italy, mouths widen at every turn.
