The whole world appreciates Italy's history, art, and traditions, but we also like to share how much genius there is in the new startups that are emerging in Italy every day. Today, we talk about two of them, which will help make new production processes more sustainable and eco-friendly.
The first is Smush Materials, a young Lombard startup that has developed a technology using the mycelium of fungi to transform agricultural waste into a highly-performing, biodegradable packaging material. This ecological alternative to durable, moldable styrofoam can be produced in large quantities using low-cost materials and is extremely easy to dispose of.
