When innovation is a twisted cotton thread

There are a multitude of ways to innovate. They pass through various industries, including Italian textiles if not considered moribund then certainly mature. But those who resist and survive hold together tradition and innovation. Founded in 1876 and now in its fifth generation, the cotton mill Albini (today Albini group) has always plied the same trade: it produces fabrics for shirts.

All the major Italian fashion houses come to buy 'raw material' from the Lombard institution of Val Seriana. Innovation is a cornerstone of the business of this company that will close 2014 with a turnover of over 140 million (up from the year before) and employs 1,300 employees.
