Not so long ago, Sal “The Voice” Valentinetti was a college student who delivered pizzas and sang along to the music of Frank Sinatra, Tony Bennett and Dean Martin. Last summer, the 21-year-old Italian-American vocalist became a finalist on “America’s Got Talent,” and now he performs around the country. The Long Island native will be the featured performer on Friday for Festa Italiana and has been booked to appear this fall at Andiamo Celebrity Showroom.
Here are five things to know about “The Voice”:
1) Valentinetti this month released “The Voice,” a six-song EP featuring standards such as “The Way You Look Tonight.” In addition to headlining his own gigs, he’s opened for the likes of Jay Leno, Regis Philbin and others. He’s also filming several episodes of a reality TV show based on his family.
