Italian composer and pianist Ludovico Einaudi is set to kick off a new North American tour Friday evening (June 29) at Shubert Theatre in Boston. The Essential Einaudi tour will see the veteran musician hitting cities across the United States and Mexico for the first time in his career.

The intimate, 11-date route will have the composer -- whose music has been heard in dozens of film, television and commercial scores -- play his debut show at Radio City Music Hall in New York on June 30 along with stops in Montreal and Mexico City. For the first time, Einaudi will play Texas, North Carolina and Georgia.
