Michéal Castaldo will officially release his digital single of “Mary, Did You Know?” on Vital Records, October 4, 2019. This digital single is available on Amazon, iTunes, Spotify, and other digital online music e-tail stores worldwide. 

Castaldo, an Italian tenor who sings in the style of Andrea Bocelli, chose this modern-day holiday classic because it is a compellingly beautiful reminder of the Virgin Mary’s unwavering faith and unconditional dedication to deliver the Son of God to the world. The song honors the miraculous gift of life all birth mothers have given to their children and the boundless hopes, dreams, and potential their gift of life means for the future of mankind. 

Castaldo has recorded and produced his spiritual rendition of “Mary, Did You Know?” in two languages, due to the collaboration with Sempre Avanti’s founder and director, Rosanna Masullo Imbriano and the supportive board members. She states, “We are proud to support our Sempre Avanti partner and help Micheal’s music reach a broader audience.” 

The arrangement predominantly focuses on Flamenco Guitar accompaniment. The original song lyrics were written by Mark Lowry in 1984, Buddy Greene wrote the music in 1991, and the song was first recorded by Michael English in 1991. 

Castaldo, who studied music at Berklee College of Music in Boston, has become synonymous with authentic Italian experiences and products for Americans in love with Italian culture. As a vocalist, he has toured North America and Europe, including performances at Carnegie Hall, Lincoln Center, the Rainbow Room, Shea Stadium, Toronto’s Queen Elizabeth Theatre, and Italy’s Teatro F. Cilea and Pescara Opera House. His passionate performances consistently transport audiences to his native Italian world of beauty and sweeping romanticism.
