It's a rich season for documentary exploration of the Italian American experience. Fresh on the heels of Finding the Mother Lode: Italian Immigrants in California, which premiered on KVIE (PBS Sacramento) on Wednesday, December 24 at 7:00 pm and will be re-broadcast on KVIE 2 on December 25 at 7:30, we are also lucky to now have another Italian American documentary hitting the airwaves.
Called The Italian Americans, this new arrival is a four-hour documentary series that will air nationally on the PBS station KQED in San Francisco and PBS stations across the U.S. on February 17 and 24, 2015, for two hours each evening. The documentary is brought to the public thanks to a partnership between The National Italian American Foundation and WETA public television in Washington, DC.
