A longtime friend of the NIAF and an active member of the Italian American Congressional Delegation, Congressman LaFalce also served as dinner chairman for the Foundation’s 18th Anniversary Gala Dinner in 1993. He served three different districts from 1975 to 2003 in the U.S. House of Representatives, dedicating his life to public service and uplifting his community.
Born in Buffalo, New York, Congressman LaFalce’s ancestors emigrated from the village of Marcedusa in the Calabria region of Italy—roots he honored throughout his life and career. Our heartfelt condolences go out to his family, friends, and all who were inspired by his unwavering commitment to public service. May he rest in peace.
