In light of the quarantines and lockdowns, the Rossini Opera Festival will stream some of its most recent productions throughout the whole month of March. The Festival announced that it has decided “to embark in an ambitious enterprise called Soirées musicales in collaboration with Unitel Classica and Ricordi.” The festival will stream a cycle of operas from the last decade of the ROF.

The cycle will begin on Sunday March 15 with “La scala di seta” from 2009 and continue on Wednesday March 18 with “Zelmira” from 2009, and Saturday March 21 with “Sigismondo” from 2010. The cycle will continue on Tuesday March 24 with “Adelaide di Borgogna” from 2011, Friday March 27 with “Mosè in Egitto” from 2011, Monday March 30 with “Ciro in Babilonia” from 2012, and Thursday April 2 with “Matilde di Shabran” from 2012. All operas will be aired at 8:30 pm.
