No doubt about it, taking in an opera can be expensive. But Miami Lyric Opera has patron-friendly ticket prices and is offering an even better deal for its July 11-12 performances of Giuseppe Verdi's Rigoletto at Miami Beach's Colony Theatre.
If you enter the code mlo20 online or mention it when you order, you can get a 20 percent discount on tickets, which are $37 (or $25 for students at the box office only). Performances are 8 p.m. Saturday, 4 p.m. Sunday. (The opera will also be performed Aug. 15-16 at the South Miami-Dade Cultural Arts Center in Cutler Bay, but tickets there are $10 higher.)
