Inspired by family, Alice Woodson will open a new biscotti bakery and restaurant called Ambrosi Biscotti in Danville's River District. Since her position as marketing coordinator for Outback Steakhouse was eliminated during a corporate downsize in 2013, Woodson has dedicated the majority of her time to family.
It was with that family that she experienced biscottis for the first time. During a family trip to Myrtle Beach, Woodson by chance stumbled upon a biscotti bakery. The lifelong baker was intrigued by the delicious treat.
