Lifelong Memphians remember a few choices for Italian food: You had Grisanti's, Coletta's or Pete & Sam's, and chances are one of them was your go-to place. There were various other Grisanti's and a handful of small spaghetti places, but these were the main ones.
Except that for almost 30 years, Brooklyn Bridge Italian Restaurant has been tucked away in that cute little New Orleans-looking shopping center on Kirby Parkway just off Poplar. We ate there a few times some years ago, with friends who moved here from New Jersey. I always liked it, but it fell out of my dinner rotation.
