Miami, Florida - March 06, 2013
With the success of 2012's Italian Culinary Experience events, Casa Vinicola Zonin USA is thrilled to kick off this year's series on March 12th with a local favorite, Eating House restaurant located in Coral Gables, FL.

This year, the Italian Culinary Experience will feature trending restaurants in Miami and wine tastings from Casa Vinicola Zonin's exclusive Estate wines. For the 2013 series, the focus is pairing non-Italian restaurants and Italian wines to showcase how well Italian wines transcend into any cuisine. Italian wines are made to complement a wide variety of foods, which is a real treat for the taste buds. Renowned chefs will prepare a five-course menu of exquisite food and wine pairings for media, restaurateurs, sommeliers, and other affiliated parties. Each month, a different region of Italy is selected, providing guests the opportunity to experience an extensive wine tour of that region. This month Eating House will feature a delectable menu that will complement wines from Casa Vinicola Zonin's rising star Rocca di Montemassi Estate in Tuscany.
Eating House offers a mouthwatering menu, which features dishes such as Pasta Carbonara, Cap'n Crunch Pancakes, and picturesque Heirloom Tomatoes infused with frozen coconut milk – just to name a few. This once "pop-up restaurant" has quickly become a crowd-pleaser and is now a permanent establishment in Miami. Who is the mastermind chef behind all of this, you may ask? His name is Giorgio Rapicavoli, a 27-year-old Miami native who has an impressive list of accomplishments-- winner of Food Network's Chopped competition, James Beard Foundation Award Rising Star Chef of The Year, winner of Eater National's Hottest Chef in Miami 2013, and he recently made it on Forbes' 30 Under 30 list. Giorgio Rapicavoli along with his long-time friend and business partner, Alexander Casanova, have always envisioned owning a restaurant and now they are living out their dream.
The two-hour food and wine-pairing event is organized and hosted by Casa Vinicola Zonin USA in partnership with Miami Culinary Institute, Italy-America Chamber of Commerce and Tomson Hospitality. With the event's popularity in Miami, The Italian Culinary Experience is taking the show on the road to NYC -- Casa Vinicola Zonin USA's leading market.
