The slew of new restaurants invading the Fourth Street North corridor in St. Petersburg have a couple of common characteristics: Most are independently, and locally, owned; several possess a culinary ambitiousness that sets a new bar for the trade area.
The forthcoming PieTopia gets check marks for both criteria. The upscale pizza-plus concept, located at 5226 4th St. N. in the former home of World of Beer and Social, touts itself as a "farm to table" restaurant.
